While we won’t be able to shake your hand or give you a hug (for now!), please know how excited we are to welcome you back.
We’ve put a great deal of thought and care into making sure our shop environment is as safe and sanitized as possible for you and our barbers and stylists. To assist us, we worked with top infectious disease doctors at the University of Minnesota to create our safe salon commitment.
We strongly recommend everyone to book an appointment online or on our app before coming to the shop in order to minimize in-person wait time.
In addition, we have spaced our chairs in the service and waiting areas and ask that you maintain appropriate social distancing (at least 6 feet if possible) from other customers and barbers and stylists during their visit.
Meeting and exceeding the already strict guidelines that ensure hygiene in our shops, we have instituted the following additional hygiene measures:
Customer and Stylist Wellbeing
- All barbers and stylists are required to wear a CDC or Public Health Agency-recommended face mask that covers the nose and mouth in a snug manner for their entire shift. We kindly ask that you also wear a well-fitting face mask during your visit.
- Barbers and stylists will wash their hands frequently, and wipes and hand sanitizer will be available throughout the shop’s highly-trafficked areas for your use.
- Barber stations and chairs are wiped down and sanitized between all services.
- Each customer will receive a disposable or washed/dried cape before any services begin.
- We are temporarily suspending face-to-face services such as shaves, beard trims and waxing.
- While shampooing your hair at the sink, your barber or stylist will wear personal eye protection.
- Prior to opening each day, shops will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to city, county, state and federal mandates.
- Door pushes and windows will be wiped down frequently.
- Shared space chairs and surfaces will be wiped down frequently.
- The common area will be free of magazines, toys, coffee machines and any other frequently-handled items.
- While we encourage using contactless payment whenever possible; credit card terminals will be wiped and sanitized frequently.
- To comply with health guidelines, we have removed all cash tip jars so please remember to tip your barber or stylist!
For the health and wellbeing of our communities, please know that any employee presenting symptoms will stay home from work for 14 days. We also request that any customer who is feeling unwell to please reschedule your visit with your barber or stylist.

Our response to COVID-19 is as dynamic as this unprecedented situation. At this time, we are complying where local or state government officials have recommended the closure of barbershops and hair salons.
The following states, provinces, and territories have mandated closures:

As a result, we will be temporarily closed in those areas until allowed to re-open.
All other shops and salons will remain open and may have reduced hours and we are cleaning and disinfecting our shops even more thoroughly throughout the day. You can find contact information for your local Roosters here.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working tirelessly to combat the evolving COVID-19 pandemic. We have monitored and mirrored local, state, and federal health guidelines by closing our corporate shops and salons where required. We’ve also been in constant contact with our franchisees to ensure they are following local mandates and to support them however we can.
We want to let you know that, due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and the escalation of state declarations, we are temporarily closing all of our corporate-owned shops and salons on Monday, March 30, until further notice.
The majority of our franchise-owned locations are also temporarily closed; however, some owners may remain open based on local health guidelines. If you are considering a visit to one of our shops, please call ahead to see if they are open as they may be operating on reduced hours or limited days.
Looking ahead, we will continue to do everything we can to support you and our families, friends, communities, and co-workers. Right now, our corporate teams are working from home so we can be ready to welcome you back to our shops when local, state, and federal authorities determine the time is right.
When we do see you again, we understand that you will likely need a haircut, shave, styling, or a color refresh. We would be honored to welcome you back so you can enjoy a moment for yourself with one of our amazing barbers and stylists.

We care deeply about the health and safety of our customers, employees, stylists, and barbers at Roosters. That is why we want to share the steps we are taking in the wake of COVID-19 (the coronavirus).
We are closely monitoring the current situation with COVID-19 and are committed to taking appropriate steps to navigate this challenging time.
When you visit Roosters, we strive to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Getting your hair cut, colored, styled, or a beard trimmed or shaved should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience for you and your stylist or barber. Therefore, we are increasing and adding to our current supply of cleaning and sanitizing materials to ensure our employees can clean and disinfect the shop even more thoroughly throughout the course of the day.
Please know that cleanliness and sanitization have always been a big part of running our Roosters, so we already follow strict guidelines from local health departments.
As with much of the advice you have seen from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), we recommend everyone be conscious of this potential health risk and follow official preventative recommendations. In accordance with the CDC’s protocol, we have asked all employees displaying symptoms to avoid coming to work for a period of 14 days. This same guidance is in place for those who live in a household with members who have visited, or who have themselves visited, China, Iran, Italy, or South Korea.
We kindly request that if you are not feeling well, please reschedule your visit for when you are feeling better for the safety of our team and other customers.
